Lo Presti Ventura

The FIM (Fédération International de Motocyclisme) is the international representative body for two-wheeled motorsport, with the status of Recognised Federation by the International Olympic Committee. In 2010 the organisation brought back its international award ceremony to recognise and celebrate the elite of two-wheeled sport. Three hundred and fifty guests honored seven motorcycling legends at a televised gala dinner and ceremony in the seaside resort of Estoril, Portugal.

Prior to the gala ceremony, FIM World Champions attended a press conference with key international journalists at the luxury Palacio Hotel. The press conference was followed by an exciting evening at the Estoril Casino that included a cocktail reception, seated dinner, and award ceremony. The ceremony, broadcast live on TV in several markets around the world, was hosted by well-known BBC MotoGP presenter Suzi Perry.

Numerous motorcycling legends were on hand to present the 2010 FIM World Champions with their respective awards, while being honored themselves for their services to the sport. Legends such as Giacomo Agostini, Roger de Coster, Jordi Tarres, Anders Eriksson, Ivan Mauger and Katja Poensgen were joined on stage by the likes of Jorge Lorenzo, Antonio Elias, Massimiliano Biaggi, Antonio Cairoli, Toni Bou, David Knight, Tomasz Gollob, Stephanie Laier, Ludivine Puy, and Laia Sanz as winners of their respective FIM World Championships.

In addition to the awards for the many FIM World Champions, the FIM also made three special presentations for FIM Rookie of the Year, FIM Woman of the Year, and FIM Personality of the Year. These three awards were voted for by the media, fans, teams, industry members and riders via the FIM-LIVE.com website, with more than twelve thousand votes cast.

Julia Lo Presti Ventura provided FIM with event management and logistics support before and during the event, including: producing project tools and communication for guests at the Luxury Palacio Hotel, organising welcome packs and gala invitations, managing welcome desk and FIM hostesses at the Palacio Hotel for the duration of three days, organising table chart and seating for FIM 350 Gala guests, and being responsible of the welcome desk and hostesses at the Estoril Casino, greeting and monitoring the arrival of the guests and VIPs for the Awards Gala night.
