Goodwood Festival of Speed

Strong multi-faceted presence at the renowned British summer motor festival.

In 2009 the Piaggio Group participated for the first time in the renowned Goodwood Festival of Speed with its Aprilia race truck located in a key exhibition area of the show. The Piaggio presence gave spectators an opportunity to view a selection of the latest Piaggio Group range of bikes and scooters, including the stylish Vespa Vintage scooter and the Aprilia RSV4 Factory motorcycle. Brochures and information on the latest consumer offers were distributed throughout the weekend, and data was collected from customers who wished to be contacted by their local dealer to set up a test ride or to discuss their intention to purchase.

Data was captured via a competition to win an Aprilia SR50 scooter signed by Max Biaggi during the Goodwood event – a valuable promotion that yielded the highest amount of data captured at any event that year.

In addition to a personal appearance by world champion Max Biaggi at the Goodwood Festival (see details in the PR section), the production RSV4 Factory was also on display throughout the weekend in the paddock area alongside Max Biaggi’s racing machine. In order to maximise every opportunity to promote the Aprilia brand a special agreement was made with the event organisers to allow the RSV4 to be ridden in the spectacular hillclimb event, with Adam Child (MCN), John Hogan (TWO), and Phil Read Jr, all showing off the RSV4 Factory to the audience of more than 150,000 people.

In 2012 Infiniti participated for the first time as an official sponsor of the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Lo Presti Ventura provided Infiniti Europe with event management and hospitality support for their VIP clients, key Infiniti and Nissan executives and media invited to the Infiniti Performance Lounge (featuring a display of the Red Bull Racing F1 show car alongside other F1 assets) for all four days of the event. Support included:

• working closely with Infiniti Event & PR teams; sourcing, briefing and managing the hostesses selected for the Infiniti Performance Lounge and welcome desk;
• daily management of the welcome and VIP guest registration desk, greeting and monitoring the arrival of the guests; sourcing, briefing and managing the official photographer (who worked alongside the dedicated Infiniti media photographer);
• working with Oil Production Ltd for the delivery of the Infiniti Digital Art sculpture ("Value Added" by Rattaj & Ziska), which received the 3rd prize in the inaugural Infiniti Digital Art Competition named "Infiniti Performance" 2011/2012.

In addition, assistance was provided to Infiniti Europe and Prism's teams (Infiniti's sponsor agency partner) for the signing sessions of Red Bull F1 Racing team members (including 2011 F1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel Mark Webber, and the team principal Christian Horner) for VIP guests and fans; and with the registration and welcome of VIP guests invited to participate in the exhilarating Hill Climb Passenger Experience aboard the Infiniti FX Vettel Edition, Emerg-e and the M Hybrid cars.
